Job role: Teaching assistant

Hours: 8:30-3:30 five days a week

Location: Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough

Teaching Personnel are looking for experienced teaching assistants to support students in their learning journey. We work with welcoming and friendly schools who are looking for teaching assistants for a range of roles including 1:1 and general class support. We have opportunities in Northampton, Kettering and Wellingborough for full time roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher with lessons
• Work in small groups / with individuals 
• Help manage the classroom and prepare equipment for lessons
• Engage students and provide a safe learning environment
• Follow school policies including behaviour management and safeguarding
• Give feedback on students progress

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience as a teaching assistant 
• Passionate about education and helping the next generation to be successful
• Good communication skills and time management
• A child enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
