SEN Teaching Assistant – Northampton

 Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (no weekends)
 Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

We’re currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking school in Northampton. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEN, helping them to access learning and thrive in a safe and encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEN both in the classroom and during break/lunch times
• Assist the class teacher with daily activities and planning
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and engaging classroom environment
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere that encourages positive behaviour and learning
• Offer one-to-one or small group support tailored to individual needs

 No School Experience? No Problem!

While prior school-based experience is a bonus, it’s not essential. We’re looking for candidates who bring:

• Passion and commitment to working with children – a must
• Initiative, energy, and a positive attitude – a must
• Previous experience with SEN (desirable, not essential)
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

• Overseas police check (if you’ve lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last 5 years)
