A popular primary school in The New Forest area are seeking a full time teaching assistant to provide 1:1 support.
This is a specialist role to support a year 2 child with Autism and social and emotional difficulties.
You will be working with the pupil both within the classroom as well as having a designated separate work space.
Your role will be to build rapport with the pupil to increase their confidence and improve their social skills. It is also essential that you have previous experience supporting Autism and are able to adapt learning styles to suit the child.
This is a mainstream primary school that is currently graded as good by Ofsted. There is a supportive class teacher and senior leadership to also offer assistance.
