Contract Type: Fixed Term (1 year, with the potential to become permanent following budget review)
Day Rate: £100 - £120 a day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a forward-thinking school environment, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in both classroom and small group settings. You’ll play a key role in helping children achieve their potential – academically, socially and emotionally – while developing your own skills as part of a friendly and collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support to pupils across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Deliver small group interventions and targeted support.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages all learners to thrive.
- Support teachers in preparing resources, displays and classroom activities.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with children, staff and families.
- Help promote positive behaviour and social development throughout the school day.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
- A caring, calm and flexible approach to supporting learning.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- A genuine commitment to helping children succeed and feel confident in school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
