A specialist provision in Manchester is looking for teaching assistants to work within school hours to provide extra support to the students that are currently attending the school. The students are currently out of mainstream schooling for a variety of different social, emotional and mental health needs, and require extra staff to guide behaviour and learning within the school.
Within this role, you will provide support within the school environment for students who may be in crisis or displaying difficult behaviour.
You will also be expected to work with students in and out of classrooms to ensure support is consistent for each student and accessible at all times.
You will work alongside other members of staff to create a positive learning environment for students and teachers.
For this role you should
- Have previous experience in a support role
- Be confident around challenging behaviour and be able to deescalate this in a safe and professional way
- Have experience working with young people with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Be available full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
