Teaching Personnel are seeking a highly motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join our team in Manchester. As a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of students in our client school and assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons and providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.
This role will be full-time, and you will earn a competitive salary between £385 and £450 per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons, including setting up the classroom, preparing materials, and managing classroom resources.
- Support the learning and development of students, including providing individualised support and feedback, and facilitating group discussions and activities.
- Assist with marking and assessing student work and providing feedback to students to help them improve their learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance and communicate with parents and guardians as needed.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of lesson plans and curriculum materials and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- A patient and caring approach, with a commitment to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- A fully enhanced child workforce DBS check, registered with the Update Service.
- Two employment-based references that cover the last two years of your work history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
