Teaching Personnel are seeking a highly motivated Science Intervention Specialist to join one of our client schools in Central Manchester, easily commutable from areas such as Whalley Range, Moss-Side and Didsbury. The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a science-related degree and experience working with students who require additional support in their studies. As a Science Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing the unique needs of individual students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
To be successful within this role, you must be able to provide a minimum of two employment-based references and be willing to undergo a DBS check.
This will be a full-time role and it is due to begin on the 15th of April.
You will earn a competitive salary between £425 and £500 per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students who require additional support in science subjects.
- Develop and implement individualised intervention plans for struggling students.
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to provide targeted instruction and support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in science education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
- Strong content knowledge in biology, chemistry, and physics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
