Primary & SEND Teaching Assistants – Full-Time & Part-Time Roles

Location: Maidstone and surrounding areas
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Short-term, long-term & temp-to-perm opportunities
Daily Rate: £90–£105 (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting young learners in the classroom? Looking to gain experience in a rewarding and dynamic environment? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting dedicated Primary and SEND Teaching Assistants for full-time and part-time roles starting this September across a variety of mainstream primary and SEND schools in the Maidstone area.

While most roles will be class-based, you may occasionally be asked to work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who experience additional learning needs - such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties, providing them with the focused support they need to thrive.

What we’re looking for:

  • Individuals with previous classroom experience, or experience working with children in any capacity (schools, youth clubs, nurseries, tutoring, etc.)
  • Graduates who have studied degrees such as Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Education etc
  • Patient, flexible, and enthusiastic personalities ready to make a positive impact in a child’s learning journey
  • A willingness to support all aspects of school life and collaborate with teaching staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
