Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant – General Classroom Support
Location: Lymington
Start Date: ASAP | Full-Time 

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to support children in a Key Stage 1 setting? We are currently working with a welcoming primary school in the Lymington area who are seeking a reliable TA to join their team and provide general classroom support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young learners and is passionate about helping children reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The role will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning

  • Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment

  • Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive behaviour

  • Supporting children with varying needs and abilities

This role is ideal for you if you:

  • Have experience working in a primary school, particularly within KS1

  • Are confident, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s development

  • Can work effectively as part of a team and use your initiative when needed

  • Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)

  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
