Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are actively recruiting Teaching Assistants to fill a variety of roles available at our partner primary schools in Loose. The schools are looking to appoint a friendly, proactive Teaching Assistant who can support pupils’ academic and personal development. You will be working either alongside the teacher with the class, in small groups or on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with SEN. We are looking for full time applicants who can commit to 08:30-15:30.

Whilst previous TA experience is desirable it’s not essential! We encourage anyone with experience with children or support work to apply.

Typical TA duties can include:

• Working with children aged between 5–11
• Working with students who require additional support either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Motivating and encouraging students to participate in classroom activities and take on an active role in their learning.
• Supporting the class teacher with general classroom and behaviour management
• Preparing lesson resources
• Keeping the classroom tidy and getting the classroom ready for lessons
• Assist with the tracking of pupil progress by filling out records and completing observations where necessary.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
