Pay Rate: 13.75 – 14.50 per hour

A welcoming primary school in Leyland is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is looking for someone with direct or transferrable experience supporting children who present challenging behaviour, and who can build trust, consistency and positive routines.

This role involves working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider pastoral team to help the pupil engage with learning, regulate emotions and develop confidence. You will play a key part in creating a safe, structured and nurturing environment that enables the child to thrive both academically and socially.

Candidates with backgrounds in youth work, care, sports coaching, alternative provision or behaviour support are strongly encouraged to apply. Reliability, resilience and a calm, proactive approach are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
