Salary:  £180- £250

An amazing opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and thrive in a friendly, encouraging environment.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a clear, ambitious vision for SEND and pastoral provision
  • Lead the creation and implementation of the SEND and Inclusion Development Plan, aligning it with the broader school improvement plan
  • Provide leadership and direction in supporting meeting the needs of children with SEND.
  • Contribute to the work of other teams to secure high quality teaching and improved standards of learning and achievement for all pupils across the school
  • Manage a team of support staff, providing direction, accountability, and CPD opportunities
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development; attendance on courses, INSET, action research, personal study etc. with clear impact indicators
  • Organise regular support staff meetings and oversee the communication and coordination of agendas and minutes
  • Clear knowledge and experience in all issues relating to the safeguarding of children

Requirements:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with physical and complex needs
  • Assist with mobility, personal care, and use of specialist equipment (full training provided)
  • Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals to meet EHCP outcomes
  • Support students in accessing a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum
  • Build strong, trusting relationships that help students thrive socially and emotionally
  • Promote student independence while maintaining high levels of care and safety

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
