We are currently looking to recruit didicated Teaching Assistants to provide general support within schools acorss the Launceston area.
Job Description: We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistants with previous experience working in a primary school setting in the UK. While not essential, experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students is advantageous. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to initially join Teaching Personnel on a full-time permanent basis, with the potential for transitioning to a direct contract with the school for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to teachers and students in the classroom
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Help prepare materials and resources for lessons
- Support students with special educational needs as required
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting in the UK
- Experience with special educational needs (SEN) students is advantageous
- Must hold a valid DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to undergo a new one
- Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
