Job Title: Teaching Assistant
School Base: Launceston Primary School
Contract Type: Temporary (to cover absence)
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Up to 38 hours per week
Working Weeks: Term-time only (38 weeks)
FTE Salary: £23,555
Actual Salary: Dependent on hours worked


We’re Hiring: Teaching Assistants (KS1/KS2)

We are seeking nurturing, dedicated, and highly motivated Teaching Assistants to join a supportive team in a local Launceston-based primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an inclusive, child-centered school environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

About the Roles:

  • One role will initially be based in KS1/KS2, supporting learning across the classroom.

  • A second role is available in KS2, providing cover for long-term sickness absence (hours to be confirmed).

  • There is flexibility for the vacancies to be shared across multiple candidates depending on availability.

  • Creative and imaginative in their approach to engaging pupils.

  • Resilient, proactive, and have high expectations for behaviour and learning.

  • Experienced in working with children in a school setting (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
