An OFSTED graded ‘Good’ Primary school located in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire; are looking for a Teaching Assistant to take on a specialised role to support pupils with EAL in order to ensure that their understanding of the national curriculum is up to standard.

The role is full-time and is set to run in school hours between 08:30 to 15:30, with half an hour unpaid lunch. In your role, you will be expected to monitor and assess the progress of pupils you are supporting and assist in their progression through learning. You will also need to offer general support and aid in the overall running of the class alongside the class teacher.

If you have:

  • Prior Teaching Assistant Experience
  • Experience supporting EAL
  • Completed training courses relevant to a career in education such as: Prevent Training, Safeguarding, Child Protection, De-escalation
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 – Relevant to working within schools
  • Experience offering 1:1 support to SEN pupils with challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
