We are in need of Teaching Assistants for a Special Educational needs school in the Hatfield area. The school caters for pupils aged 4 – 11yrs with a wide range of special educational needs including SEMH, ASC and challenging behaviour. Staff manage and deal with these needs exceptionally well.
The school received a 'Good' grading in their last inspection and were commended on their good teaching and the progress pupils were making. Staff at this school were said to work together seamlessly in lessons to support pupils.
Candidate specification:
Ideally you will have a flexible nature and be prepared to cover across all years where needed. Your role will be supporting with behaviour management and to engage and interact with the children to enable them access the curriculum fully. The school is committed to work together with everyone involved in the life of their pupils and school. In addition, any of the following skills or qualifications would be desirable to the role:
- School based SEN experience
- Ability to use own initiative and think quickly when presented with challenging situations
- Team- Teach qualification or STEPS
- A nurturing personality
