Teaching assistant - Secondary School Hackney London

We are working with a fantastic inclusive mixed secondary school in Hackeny. Who are seeking a new teaching assistant to start ASAP. The school has a reputation for providing outstanding support for staff and students. The wider workforce is highly valued and plays a vital role in the school’s aim to be a centre for educating the community for success. The school is very highly regarded, heavily oversubscribed and enjoys consistently outstanding examination results. The school is a very rewarding place to work with a supportive collegiate atmosphere.
The Role:
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
- Set high expectations with all students
- Differentiate work for designated students, ensuring they are achieving a good level of progress
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
- Work closely within the SEND department and the wider staff
Teaching assistant Requirements:
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
- Committed to achieving high standards of learning and behaviour for all children
- Working with pupils in a classroom environment, with an opportunity to gain valuable experience.
- 1 year experience working with children or young adults
- Committed, professional, team player
- The successful candidate will have experience in supporting secondary pupils on both a 1:1 basis as well as supporting in small groups.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
