Teaching Assistant - Grays/Thurrock
Are you an enthusiastic and driven individual who wants to make a encouraging impact in a classroom? We are looking for a teaching assistant to support the class teacher in a primary school to encourage a positive environment for children to thrive in their learning.
A primary school in Grays/Thurrock is looking for an individual who is committed to ensuring an outstanding education to their pupils, help to achieve their full potential and are equipped with the skills and attitudes needed.
Key role responsibilities:
- Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm, no weekends!
- Support pupils and encourage a smooth running of their daily routine in the classroom.
- Support class teacher to prepare materials and carry out activities.
- Follow instructions from teachers and re-teach in small groups or 1:1 support.
- Promote a safe and inviting learning environment.
The ideal candidate:
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Patient and can remain calm in stressful situations
- Enjoys working with other people and part of a team.
- Previous experience working in a school/childcare setting (not essential).
- Someone with a minimum grade C(4) in GCSE Mathematics and English.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
