Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Portsmouth, who are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams. These roles are ideal for individuals seeking either full-time or part-time work during term time. Whether you're experienced or just beginning your journey in education, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

• Work 1:1 or with small groups to enhance learning and engagement

• Encourage positive behaviour and a supportive classroom atmosphere

• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs

• Help with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom organisation

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children (in school, childcare, or similar settings)

• A kind, patient, and proactive attitude

• The ability to adapt and work flexibly as part of a team

• A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

• Availability for either full-time or part-time work during school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
