Experienced Year 6 Teaching Assistant – Gosport
Location: Gosport
Start Date: ASAP
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and a passion for supporting children to achieve their best?
A welcoming mainstream primary school in Gosport is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
The Role
You will primarily support the Year 6 class, helping pupils access their learning and providing additional support where needed. Alongside your classroom responsibilities, you will also provide some 1:1 SEN support to individual pupils.
The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within Year 6 or upper KS2
-
Have a good understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and expectations
-
Be confident supporting pupils both individually and in small groups
-
Have experience supporting children with SEN
-
Be patient, nurturing and able to build positive relationships with pupils
-
Work well as part of a classroom team
-
Be proactive and confident in supporting the class teacher
-
Have a genuine passion for helping children develop academically and personally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
