Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, East Riding of York, Goole

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Salary: £80 - £95 per day

Job Duties:

• Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources
• Providing individual and group support to students in their learning activities
• Supervising students during class and break times
• Helping with classroom management and behaviour management
• Assessing students' progress and providing feedback to the teacher
• Assisting with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and organising classroom materials
• Collaborating with the teacher and other staff members to meet the educational needs of students

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
• Relevant teaching assistant qualification or experience

Education:

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
• Teaching assistant qualification or relevant experience

Experience:

• Prior experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
• Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational policies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport with students and create a supportive learning environment
• Organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Higher level teaching assistant qualification
• First aid certification

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily conducted within a school setting
• Full-time hours, typically Monday to Friday
• Contract-based employment
• May involve working with students of different age groups and abilities
• Occasional requirement for assisting with extracurricular activities or school events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
