Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Salary: £77 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

• Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students in their learning
• Supervise students during class activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance
• Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources
• Support students with special educational needs or disabilities, following individualised plans
• Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive student engagement
• Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and organising classroom materials
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure effective communication and coordination

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
• Basic IT skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Strong organisational and time management abilities

Education:

A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

Experience:

No prior experience required, but previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of child development and learning processes
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

The teaching assistant will primarily work within a classroom setting, assisting the teacher and supporting students during school hours. The role may involve some physical activity and occasional participation in off-site activities. The teaching assistant will adhere to the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
