Teaching Assistant

Location: County Durham (DH7)
Start Date: ASAP / Negotiable
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible for the right candidate)
Salary: £110 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA looking to make a real impact in Key Stage 2?
Teaching Personnel is currently working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in County Durham to recruit a KS2 Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the key stage.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HLTA to work in a thriving school environment, either leading small group interventions, providing whole-class cover, or offering targeted one-to-one support.
About the Role:

Deliver engaging and targeted learning activities across KS2
-
Support the class teacher in planning and assessing pupils’ progress
-
Provide cover for lessons when required
-
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
-
Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes progress for all pupils
Requirements:
-
HLTA qualification or relevant Level 4+ qualification
-
Recent experience working within Key Stage 2
-
Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
-
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
