Location: County Durham (DH7)
Start Date: ASAP / Negotiable
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible for the right candidate)
Salary: £110 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA looking to make a real impact in Key Stage 2?
Teaching Personnel is currently working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in County Durham to recruit a KS2 Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the key stage.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HLTA to work in a thriving school environment, either leading small group interventions, providing whole-class cover, or offering targeted one-to-one support.

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and targeted learning activities across KS2

• Support the class teacher in planning and assessing pupils’ progress

• Provide cover for lessons when required

• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies

• Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes progress for all pupils

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or relevant Level 4+ qualification

• Recent experience working within Key Stage 2

• Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills

• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
