We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants at a primary school catering for pupils aged 2-11 in an OFSTED rated ‘Outstanding’ school. The pupils that are supported are usually diagnosed with ASC, SLD and PMLD. The school has fantastic facilities to cater for its pupils including a hydrotherapy pool, a range of outdoor play areas, a sensory garden, two multisensory rooms and two soft play areas. Each pupil is further supported with a personal plan which is designed to bring out the best of them in the already tailored curriculum.
In addition, the pupils, physical and emotional needs are further catered for with a multi-professional approach including an onsite School Nurse, Physio team, Speech and Language Team, Sleep counselling team, Outreach programme and Occupational Therapy and sensory integration. The ideal Teaching Assistant for this outstanding school would have:
- A caring and warm personality
- Experience of working with ASC, SLD or PMLD
- A desire and drive to support young people
The school is located on the West Didsbury area of Manchester, so has got great links by road, tram, rain and bus.
In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.
