SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with complex needs? Our client, a well-established specialist education setting in the Cranleigh area, is looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a nurturing environment that supports students aged 5 to 19 with autism, learning difficulties, and associated communication needs. You will be instrumental in helping students achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement individual learning plans
- Assist with classroom activities and help manage behaviour in a positive, supportive way
- Support students with daily routines, social skills, and personal development
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all learners
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH is highly desirable
- A positive, patient, and resilient attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
