SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with complex needs? Our client, a well-established specialist education setting in the Cranleigh area, is looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a nurturing environment that supports students aged 5 to 19 with autism, learning difficulties, and associated communication needs. You will be instrumental in helping students achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement individual learning plans
• Assist with classroom activities and help manage behaviour in a positive, supportive way
• Support students with daily routines, social skills, and personal development
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all learners

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH is highly desirable
• A positive, patient, and resilient attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
