Teaching Assistant Job in Chorley
Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant role where you can make a real difference every day? We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Chorley for the Autumn Term 2026.
Working alongside experienced teachers, you will support pupils' learning, confidence, and development while helping create an engaging and positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning activities throughout the school day.
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group support sessions.
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
- Promote pupil engagement and positive behaviour.
- Support children with a range of learning needs.
- Help foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children.
- Teaching Assistant experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Genuine passion for education and child development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
