Job Title: Teaching Assistants Required – Secondary & ALN Schools | Immediate Start

Location: Carmarthen & surrounding areas

Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in education? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across Secondary Schools and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Schools in the Carmarthen & surrounding area.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to deliver a high standard of education and care to students aged 11–18. This role involves supporting pupils with diverse abilities, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to students in both small groups and one-to-one settings
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and resource organisation
  • Deliver tailored support to students with ALN to help them access the curriculum
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all pupils

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working in schools or with young people (preferred)
  • A genuine passion for education and student development
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and resilience
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • EWC (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
