About the role:
Location – Cardiff
Pay - £13.75 per Hour
Start Date – April 2026
End Date – July 2026
Hours – Full Time (8:30 - 3:30 Monday to Friday)
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a full-time teaching assistant to work in a Primary School on a full-time basis!
The role will consist of supporting the teacher and children in the classroom whilst contributing to the positive school environment and working well as part of team with the other staff in the school. The ideal teaching assistant will be good natured, happy to be flexible and provide help where needed. Using initiative will be essential in the role, and ensuring the children are working as expecting and receiving the correct support throughout the day.
About the school:
The school is based in CF11 and is a 1 form entry. You will be joining a welcoming team of teachers and teaching assistants, who will be able to support and provide you with feedback throughout your time working. If the successful candidate is a good fit for the school, the position could continue into the new academic year starting in September 2026.
Teaching Assistant Duties:
- Preparing the classroom and resources for lessons
- Supporting the teacher with general classroom assistance and behaviour management
- Help to maintain a clean and tidy classroom environment

Requirement Criteria:
- Have an Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (Teaching Personnel can help with this!)
- Register for the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Be able to provide professional based reference details

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
