Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistants Wanted!
Location: Cardiff (CF11)
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Pay: £90 – £100 per day (paid weekly)
Start Date: ASAP
Are you fluent in Welsh and ready to make a meaningful impact in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is looking for two passionate Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Cardiff – one supporting a Year 4 class, and the other in a specialist ALN classroom.
Whether you thrive in a busy Key Stage 2 environment or are driven to support children with additional learning needs, we want to hear from you!
Your Role:
• Assist teachers in delivering fun, inclusive lessons tailored to individual needs
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils reach their potential
• Adapt activities to support varying abilities and learning styles
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued
• Help with behaviour management, classroom organisation, and breaktime supervision
ALN Role Specifics:
• Work closely with pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties
• Support children with their emotional regulation, communication, and independence
What We’re Looking For:
• Fluency in Welsh
• Experience working with children (school-based or similar settings)
• A caring, adaptable, and patient approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A willingness to learn and grow with the role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
