Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (ASD) - Year 3 Location: Cardiff

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a Cardiff school. This role involves working closely with the pupil, the class teacher, and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to ensure a tailored and nurturing learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to the pupil with ASD in the Year 3 class.
- Implement strategies to facilitate the pupil's engagement and participation in class activities.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and adapt learning materials.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
