Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant or new to the sector, if you’re caring, patient, and motivated to support young people with complex needs, this role could be perfect for you.

We’re partnering with a supportive SEND school in Cambridge that offers a nurturing, person-centred environment for children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Complex Learning Disabilities and Difficulties (CLDD).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils with PMLD/CLDD across their learning and development

  • Assisting with personal care, mobility, and hoisting (full training provided)

  • Supporting pupils with complex medical needs, including epilepsy

  • Using sensory resources and communication aids to engage learners

  • Working with teachers, therapists, and specialist staff to deliver tailored support


Who We’re Looking For

We welcome both qualified and unqualified applicants. Passion, positivity, and willingness to learn are essential.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD/CLDD (personal or professional)

  • A patient, compassionate approach

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Knowledge of safeguarding

  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
