Location: Cambridge, CB3
Pay Rate: £89.38 - £100 per day (dependant on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Part time / Long-term / Short term / Temp-to-perm
About the Role
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Autism across primary and secondary age groups.
We are working with a fantastic special educational needs school that provides a nurturing, inclusive, and person-centred environment for children and young people with additional needs. The school is looking for a caring and resilient individuals to join their team and make a real difference to students’ lives on a full time basis.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting pupils with ASD in all aspects of their learning and development.
- Give young people education that will enable them achieve in line with or close to their mainstream peers
- Be active and prepared to stand all day
- Create a joyful, accepting and inviting environment where young people attend to accomplish their goals and set themselves up for success.
- Deliver exceptional education tailored to autism specialists
- Be resilient and capable of handling difficulties. directly
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver individualised education and care plans.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous personal or professional experience supporting children or young people with ASD (school, residential, or care setting).
- Experience working across primary and secondary age groups.
- Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- A patient, positive, and compassionate approach.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Have a Enhanced Child DBS or willing to obtian.
