Teaching Assistant

Exciting opportunity for a member of support staff to gain further experience within a secondary school.

• Full-time Teaching Assistant role.

Our client secondary school is based in Bury and has around 850 pupils on roll. The school has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has consistently kept this reputation for a number of years. The incoming Teaching Assistant will be working with pupils across Key Stage 3 and GCSE within a variety of subjects. The Teaching Assistant will be allocated to work with a number of identified pupils who may need extra support in classes to ensure they stay on task and reach their full potential.

Some pupils may have additional learning needs or SEN and any transferrable experience supporting pupils in this area is desirable. The incoming candidate will also be working closely with the SENCO and class teachers to ensure relevant interventions and expectations are set for pupils.

The school is easily accessible via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas of Bury including Radcliffe, Prestwich and Rochdale. For candidates on public transport, the school is close by to several tram and bus routes from near by areas.
