We are a nurturing and inclusive school in Bournemouth, dedicated to supporting children and young people with SEMH. We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our team and help provide the consistent care, encouragement, and guidance our pupils need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum in 1:1 and small group settings

Building strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and self-confidence

Assisting in managing behaviour in a positive, supportive manner

Helping pupils develop social and emotional skills alongside academic progress

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to ensure every child receives tailored support

Experience of working with children and young people with SEMH or additional needs

A calm, empathetic and resilient approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A willingness to learn and adapt to different situations

A genuine commitment to supporting young people to reach their goals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
