Teaching Assistant

A primary school have come directly to Teaching Personnel for an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dynamic team at a well-regarded school in Bolton as soon as possible. As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education across a range of subjects, working closely with teachers to provide targeted support to students. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for education to make a significant impact on students' academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support small group sessions and whole class teaching under the guidance of the class teacher
• Provide high-quality support to students with diverse needs, including those with additional learning requirements
• Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, helping to differentiate activities to meet individual learning needs
• Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with teachers to assess, plan, and implement interventions for students needing extra support
• Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) where necessary

Key Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (minimum Level 4)
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational role, with experience in leading groups of students
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting a variety of learning needs
• A passion for supporting children’s development and learning
• A DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
