Teaching Assistant

Primary Teaching Assistant – Bognor Regis (PO21)
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2025

We are looking for a motivated and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to work in a local primary school in Bognor Regis (PO21) from September.

About the role:
The successful candidate will work with teachers and other staff to help pupils succeed. Main duties include:

• Assisting with learning activities in class and during small group work

• Supporting children who may need extra help to access the curriculum

• Helping with reading, writing, maths, and topic work

• Assisting in the preparation of resources and keeping the classroom organised

• Encouraging pupils’ confidence and positive behaviour

• Helping children to develop social skills and build friendships

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with children, either in a school or similar setting

• A patient and supportive approach to working with young learners

• Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions

• An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
