Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: North West England, Lancashire, Blackpool
Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons
- Assisting students with learning activities
- Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
- Supervising students during break times
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour
- Preparing materials and resources for lessons
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs in English and Maths
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team
Education:
A relevant qualification in Education or Teaching Assistance is desirable
Experience:
Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of educational practises and principles
- Ability to build rapport with students and teachers
- Organisational skills and attention to detail
- Patience and empathy towards students
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
Working Conditions:
The role may involve standing for long periods and assisting students with physical tasks. The working environment is typically a school classroom setting with regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
