Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within a mainstream primary school in Blackburn? We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils and teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

This temp-to-perm Teaching Assistant position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience while working towards a permanent role within a supportive school setting.

Key Responsibilities

Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
Work with individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.
Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support pupils with varying academic and social needs.
Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
Follow school safeguarding and behaviour management policies.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant, or similar role is desirable.
Experience working with primary-aged children.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.
Commitment to supporting children's educational development.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
