Hours: Full Time

We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Nurture 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Blackburn. This is a full-time opportunity starting after the October half-term, supporting a Key Stage 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with the child while also being part of the school's SEN Learning Hub, providing a nurturing, structured, and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

The Role

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with ASD.
• Build a positive and trusting relationship to support the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
• Implement individual learning and behaviour support strategies.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider SEN team.
• Support the pupil within the Learning Hub and during integration into the wider school environment where appropriate.
• Help create a calm, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with children with ASD and additional needs.
• Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role.
• Is patient, compassionate, and resilient.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is committed to promoting positive outcomes for children with additional needs.
• Holds relevant qualifications or experience in education or SEND (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
