Teaching Assistant – September Start

Location: Bristol
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Start Date: September 2026

Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school from September 2026.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. Working closely with teachers and the wider support team, you will help to deliver engaging lessons, provide tailored support, and encourage student progress and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering creative and engaging lessons
  • Work with individual students and small groups to support learning and development
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources
  • Provide support for students with additional learning needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive environment
  • Monitor and report on student progress and well-being

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A passion for working with children or young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and positive approach to supporting learning
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Previous experience working in a school or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
