Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Bath from September 2024. The school caters for primary aged children and have a resource base for children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition. You will be working within the resource base with a specific child to support their learning.

The role is Monday – Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm term time only.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with pupils within the school and enhance their learning.
  • Must have experience of working with pupils.
  • Experience of working within the education sector and with multi-agencies would be advantageous.
  • Will be proactive and eager to carry out responsibilities.
  • Experience or training with Makaton, PECs or TEACCH strategies would be advantageous.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
