Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistants for a School that we work with in the Basildon area. This is an SEN School catering for pupils with moderate and complex needs.

The school caters for pupils of all ages but we are specifically looking for someone to work with the college provision with students aged 16-19. This is a supportive and welcoming school that provide a friendly environment for students and staff.

The Candidate:

Ideal applicants should have previous experience working with SEN, complex behaviour or challenging needs professionally. Without school experience any professional experience with the following could help the candidate succeed in this role:

• Psychology
• Youth/Community work experience
• Care worker
• Challenging behaviour within family
• Mentoring 
• SEN Experience

Applicants will be working within the classroom supporting teachers and fellow support workers as a general class assistant. 

The Role:

The role will operate between 8:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday.

Full time is preferable

We are looking for committed candidates that want the option to go onto a permanent contract with this school.

Teaching Personnel do offer many development courses through our CPD Academy; such as Autism Awareness, Safeguarding and Team Teach to help support any successful candidates within this environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
