A specialist school in Weymouth is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The Role:
You will play a key role in supporting classroom teachers and other staff to deliver exceptional care and assistance to pupils aged 2-19 years old. This school covers covering early years, primary, secondary, and sixth form for children and young people with diagnoses such as:
- Severe, complex, and profound learning difficulties
- Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
- Physical and sensory disabilities
- Complex healthcare needs
This school is a purpose-built campus that offers a bespoke curriculum tailored to individual needs and uses therapeutic approaches. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with outdoor learning opportunities, programs for physical development and independence, and access to sensory rooms and other therapeutic spaces.
Who We Are Looking For:
- SEN(D) experience
- Understanding of EHCP’s
- Strong communication skills
- Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
Working Hours/Benefits:
- Full Time
- Monday-Friday, 08:50-15:35
- Term Time Only
- 12.07% Holiday Pay

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
