Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 1- Oldham (OL4) Teaching Personnel is working with a larger than average sized primary school in the Oldham area (OL4) to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant. The role is full time and starts ASAP. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career. The Primary School is part of a multi-academy trust, which is known for its high expectations for all students. The school has strong relationships with its surrounding community and has high expectation for all of the pupils. Students at this school make excellent progress due to the high standard of teaching. The students are well behaved, friendly and love to learn. The teachers make great lessons which cater to all of their students’ individual needs, as well as creating exciting wall displays that enhance learning by providing prompts and key words. This is an inclusive school with a high level of EAL. There is also a larger than average amount of SEN students. The SEN department is supportive for both staff and students. Differentiated learning is provided in order to help SEN students to progress well. Interventions are used for students who are falling behind, as well as booster classes, learning mentors and speech and Language therapists. The school uses resources such as sign-a-long, so experience with this would be very advantageous. There is also a sensory room as well as visual timetables. The successful KS1 Teaching Assistant must be bubbly and be willing to interact with the students in order to enhance their learning. They should have experience working with Key Stage One students. They must have a real passion for education and raising attainment.
