Teaching Assistant for Challenging Behaviour Key Stage 3/4

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Hartlepool Specialist Provision to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant to support students with social emotional and mental health difficulties on a full time basis. The role will be in a specialist SEND school, working with vulnerable young people to help them turn their lives around. The children in the provision are aged between 11 and 16 and display extremely challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will be confident in approaching this. The client school welcomes applications from a variety of backgrounds including those from youth work or army/military, experience working with social, emotional and mental health difficulties is extremely beneficial.

You will be helping pupils to work towards formal qualifications so an enthusiastic and proactive teaching assistant with a desire for working with young people is required, you do not need a teaching assistant qualification for this role although it may be useful. You must be a strong role model, motivated and dedicated to providing outstanding support to students and passionate making a real difference!

Teaching Personnel can offer teaching assistant's competitive pay rates of up to ÂŁ65 per day; for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. This role will commence in September and will last the duration of the academic year, however a permanent contract will be offered to the right candidate.
