A growing special needs school in Trowbridge is looking for flexible workers to cover sickness as and when they occur. So that you can choose when you want to work, this is perfect for candidates who have a 2nd job, recently retired, self employed or busy parents. 

The schools supports children who have complex needs and severe learning disabilities. As such, you will be expected to carry out personal care but you are not a carer, you are a Teaching Assistant. All staff are expected to carry out personal care, from TAs to Headteachers.

You will need to have some kind of childcare experience or experience with disabilities. Ideally you will have autism and physical disability experience. You will need to have a caring and patient demeanor and love working with these children.You will be called a few days before or sometimes from 7am in the morning when sickness or absence arises. You will have full control of your diary and will select your availability. This needs to work for you. We will be recruiting multiple teaching assistants so you there will be no pressure to work on specific days - whatever works for you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
