Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Our client school in Chorley are seeking an SEN TA to start IMMEDIATELY.

You will be working in classroom catering for pupils with complex needs in Year 8. The pupils rarely exhibit challenging behaviours but there may be an element of this upon occasion, as I'm sure you can appreciate.

There will be a Teacher in the classroom and an additional TA for support.

You MUST be willing to provide personal care. This is non-negotiable.

The school favour candidates with an upbeat and fun personality who can think on their feet and use their initiative. You must be bright, engaging and have a genuine passion for offering the best possible care to the young people in your classroom.

You will ideally have experience in supporting children or adults with SEN, have experience in care or come from a background where you have a close personal connection to a friend or family member with complex needs.

You will also ideally be flexible when it comes to the age ranges you work with as you may be required to cover absences in other classes.

The role will be 5 days per week, 8:30-3:30 until Friday 5th April (minimum). A permanent role could be available for candidates who prove to be a valued member of the staff team.

If you wish to be considered please email me, with a copy of your CV, and an email detailing why you are suitable for this post.

I will need to hear from you ASAP!
