A 'GOOD' secondary school in BS10 is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will work as part of a resource base team within the mainstream setting.
Job Description:
- Provide academic, social and emotional support.
- Play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide both1:1 and small group support.
- Implement positive behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student learning.
- Monitor and record student progress.
While no specific qualifications are required for this role, having a background in education, psychology, or related fields can be advantageous. A genuine passion for helping students with SEND achieve their full potential is a very important quality we look for, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of the student. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations is vital.

Key information
- Location: Bristol, BS10.
- Start date: ASAP
- Schedule: 8.30 – 3.30, Monday – Friday, term time only.
- Contract: Temporary with possibility of permanent offer after a successful temporary period.
