ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A NEW CHALLENGE AFTER THE EASTER HALF TERM?

Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading Education provider, and we are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support within Special Educational Needs schools in the Basingstoke area.

The SEN schools consist of small classes of between 6 - 10 pupils in each class, along with a class teacher and approximately 3 Teaching Assistants to support. Your role will be to assist the class teacher with carrying out lesson plans according to the class curriculum, and there will be group work as well as allocated 1:1 sessions in order to provide focused learning time.

There is a variety of needs within the schools, which will include Autism, ADHD, Speech and language difficulties, physical needs and challenging behaviour.

As the successful applicant, you will need to:

- Have previous experience working within a special needs setting; this doesn't have to be in an education setting.

- Have obtained a minimum of GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English.

- Be able to work on your own initiative and get involved in all class activities.

- A nurturing and caring disposition.

School hours are between 08:30 to 15:30 each day, and we are able to offer flexible working, should you only be available for part of the week.

You will also be welcome to spend a trial day at the school, upon completion of a mandatory vetting process.

For consideration, please send your CV and a brief cover letter to or give the Hampshire SEN team a call on 02380 836648 for more information.
