On behalf of our partner school, we are looking to recruit high quality, committed teaching assistants who have high expectations and lots of energy. You need to be committed to working with children with special educational needs, be resilient and able to positively support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The purpose of the role is to enable children with special educational needs better provision to the national curriculum within a mainstream educational environment. You will be required to support students on a 1:1, small group and whole class intervention basis.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with young people within an educational environment
- Be resilient and patient, particularly when working with more challenging behaviour
- Will have GCSE Maths and English A*-C and degree in curriculum subject
- Knowledge of the curriculum
- Be able to take instruction as well as use their own initiative
- Be a good communicator as a huge part of the role will involve liaising with heads of departments and the inclusion manager in the school.
The school currently have openings for x2 teaching Assistants to start immediately pending the successful completion of safer vetting checks.
