Are you currently teaching in a mainstream school and supporting children with additional or special needs?

Do you wish that you could spend a more time with these students to help them achieve the best possible outcomes during their time in education?

Making a move from mainstream education into special needs education may sound daunting, but as a qualified teacher you will already have the skills you will need. In a specialist setting you will have small class sizes allowing you to focus your attention on each individual student and support from LSA's who tend to work 1:1 with each student in the class allowing you to make a real difference.

We provide an opportunity for Teachers to dip their toe in the water and see if teaching in an SEN setting is really for you. We already have strong relationships with SEN Provisions in your area and can support your transition from mainstream to SEN with flexible working, no need to commit to one school for the academic year and a range of specific CPD opportunities including behaviour management training (team teach).

Patience and understanding, are the essential traits, every SEN teacher needs to have to thrive at their work. You will also need to be an excellent communicator, an organised and creative team player to meet the responsibility of the job.
